Vehicles are vital tools for any porter, especially Sam in Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. From heavier cargo loads, more treacherous terrain to navigate, and deadlier threats that can harm your cargo, the sequel puts a greater emphasis on using structures and vehicles to navigate around the world and fight enemies.

Thankfully, you get your first vehicle (Tri-Cruiser) way earlier in Death Stranding 2 and as a part of the main story during the opening hours in Mexico. But to make the most of it and the Off-Roaders you get later on, you will need to outfit them with parts and weapons that can take out Brigands and Ghost-Mechs or extend their battery.

Most of these parts and upgrades, as well as the two main vehicle types, can be unlocked as you progress through the main story. But, there are a few tucked away behind levelling up specific facilities, preppers, and outposts in Australia. Keep in mind that you can also only customize and upgrade vehicles at facilities with a garage or the DHV Magellan.

This page provides instructions on unlocking all vehicles and vehicle parts, along with a detailed breakdown of their functions and statistics.
